The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) will be using A&D's HC-i counting scales for our upcoming Australian Federal and State elections. The counting scales will be distributed to over 600 polling venues.
These scales will be used to monitor and verify the distribution of voting forms and to prevent loss, duplication and anomalies. Ballot forms will be in batches of approx. 50 units, with each ballot paper roughly the same size and weight. The ballots must be accurately counted, with the smallest unit weight being 1.5 grams and the largest around 25 grams. For more information on these counting scale, please click here.
